With any new home, a "shake down period" just can't be avoided.  As you live in your new home, you will happen upon small details which need attention.  Even with the high standards that are the norm for Blue-J Design (and our sub-contractor & craftsman colleagues), this is almost certain to occur.  There is an incredible amount of detail to be checked during the construction of any new home - there is even more in a custom home.  One of our primary goals is for your move to Pinehurst to be a smooth, pleasant experience for you, and we take great pride in our reputation for quality.  Therefore, we will make a 2 week, as well as 3 & 6 month visits to identify and rectify any minor flaws that may surface. We will also contact and coordinate the appropriate craftsman as needed.  As this process is one of the cornerstones of our quality assurance program, there is, of course, no fee.

As a further service to you, we will present to you a "Home Owners Records" portfolio.  This will provide organization and easy access to information of value in several areas.  Included are: 

• Manuals & Warranties for all appliances

• A list of pertinent Sub-Contractors, with their phone numbers

• A list of any special surfaces or materials and their recommended care

• A drawing of your landscape plan with all shrubs identified

• An outline of types of care and their timing for basic yard and shrub maintenance (Yes, they ARE low maintenance, but will require semi-annual care to look their best!)

• There are even photos of your house during construction
