PRE-PROJECT INTERVIEW

All projects include a comprehensive
meeting, following the initial complimentary
discussion, to identify your specific space, color,
architectural style and lifestyle preferences.
Along with your Realtor, we are able to assist you
in your search for the ideal building lot. This
interview should result in your determination of
your preferred level of involvement in completion of

INVOLVEMENT LEVEL ALTERNATIVES
The degree of your personal involvement is your
choice.
1.
Minimal
Client level consists of review of the project at
various stages. For example, this could be done at the
"draft" stage of the floor plan and exterior elevations, as
well as choosing among interior "finish packages" for rooms
such as the kitchen and master suite, etc. In this manner
you will affect your home's appearance and avoid almost all
of the time-consuming and often complicated shopping and
coordination process throughout. The result will be a
unique, custom-styled home, ready for you to begin your
Pinehurst Experience! (This is
Blue-J Design's
"usual" track.)
2.
Moderate
Client level includes the above and in addition would
consist of a "walk-thru" together at each stage of
construction. A detailed report, plus review of upcoming
choice options would be provided at each stage of
construction. In each case, "Option Packages" would have
been developed for presentation and your selection.
3.
Full Scale
Client level is the traditional approach.
Blue-J Design would
also be happy to work with you in this manner, with your
close involvement in every stage of design and construction
as well as interior finishing.
4.
Builder
Liaison Option.
With this option, you would have chosen a builder other than
Blue-J Design, but
engaged us to act on your behalf in your absence, following
your guidelines. With a custom home, multiple situations
arise requiring discussion of options, with their effect
upon appearance and/or cost outcomes. We would be on the
site daily, easily available to the builder and fully
cognizant of the goals you wish to meet. In addition, we
have the advantage of a thorough knowledge of the process,
which aids both communication and optimum outcomes.
